This product does a great job at keeping my laptop elevated while I work with an external keyboard on my desk. I give it four stars because it is not as good as a cooling pad when using the laptop on my lap -- Logitech makes a separate product for that.

I've had several laptop desktop stands over the years and this is my favorite. Here's why. It's very sturdy unlike one of the previous stands which seemed to have a perpetual wobble. The other feature I really like is the swivel feature located at the base of the support leg which allows you to adjust the laptop's position very easily. Previous stands required the user to hoost both the stand and the laptop to make minor position adjustments.

The only downside is the price which is why I gave this stand a 4 instead of a 5. I think the price is high when compared with other stands on the market. If the price doesn't bother you, then I think you'll be happy with this stand.

**** REVISED 093009 ***** Since my writing of the original review, this stand has broken; that's just over 2 months of use. The spring ring at one of the flex points keeps popping out and then the one from the other side pops out. There are 2 straight pins that also fall out daily and a part of the plastic stand no longer stays on.

I'd revise my listing to a 1 Star if possible.

This notebook riser works as promised, but since my notebook doesn't open wide enough, I can really use it at the higher angles that the Logitech Notebook Riser allows, which would really be the ideal way for using this. If you're notebook opens really wide, this shouldn't be a problem.

One nice feature of this riser is that it's built to swivel really easily. It makes sharing what you're working on really easy. It also collapses down very nicely in case you plan on traveling with it.

This item turns my Macbook into a pseudo desktop. Of course, you'll have to buy a full apple keyboard and mouse to take full advantage.

IMO, it's worth it.

It makes everything much more efficient.

So, I'm going to admit i don't use this as much as I thought I would. I spend a lot of time on the computer and thought I would use this to help my sitting position etc. It works well and just as it says. I find that I just end up sitting with my laptop...well, in my lap. However, I think this is perfect for those who like to sit at a desk or at a table while on the computer and they will find this as a great tool. And I think that would be a deciding factor on whether to buy this or not.
