I just had a Maxtor Hard drive die on me 2 days ago I need a new hard drive! Just wondering what hard drive manufacture is more reliable Seagate or Western Digital? This will only be a data Hard drive not a gaming Hard Drive!

I have a number of hard drives and external hard drives that I no longer need and would like to sell on ebay. Before I do this I want to make sure the drives are completely erased. I know I can format it but I heard you can still recover data from a drive that has been formatted. Is their a way that I can completely erase a drive making it impossible to recover any data from it.

My “C” drive is full, so I bought a new Hard Drive today to save more files onto. I want to just download things to that hard drive without manually having to select that hard drive. How do I do that?

I have a computer with a dvd drive, a dvd burner, and a single hard drive. I only have 2 IDE connections, so I can only have 4 drives total. I want to copy video to the second drive. Should I connect drive C to the primary IDE with one of the DVD drives as a slave, and connect the 2nd hard drive the same way to the secondary IDE,

or,

should I connect both hard drives to the primary IDE, with drive C as the master?
